I have dual booted my Desktop computer with Mojave 10.14 hackintosh (Tonymacx) and Windows 10 Pro . When I turned on fileVault and started encrypting the Mojave Hard drive Partition with FileVault , the electric fuse in the board got very hot and burnt and as a result there is power failure at home. Is encrypting hard drive partition with fileVault draws too much electric current? Are there any disadvantages of encrypting hard drive in hackintosh computer? I found electricity is coming and going constantly during encryption process.

How to get the recovery key of filevault if I forget to write it down?
I have not written down the filevault key for encrypting mac. How can I find that key again so that this time I can write it down in a Diary.
So basically, Filevault is very useful if people have physical possession of your computer and try to acces it to get files/data/information. If the system is offline it's not doing anything, but if the system is online the hard-disk is decrypted and open, your not protected from hackers getting in. Right?
I didn’t have a key, so I’m assuming I clicked the iCloud option. Would I just need to put in my iCloud email and password to access my data instead of the code you used?
