This database will contain download links for macOS 12 full Installer pkg files (InstallAssistant.pkg). This file is the same full installer that you would download directly from the App Store for Intel and Apple Silicon M1 Mac Computers. The InstallAssistant.pkg is stored on Apple’s servers and contains the full “Install macOS.app”. Once downloaded, all you need to do is install the pkg and the full installer of macOS will be in your applications folder. This change was made when Apple revised the full installer for Big Sur. The InstallAssistant.pkg is not available for Catalina or Mojave.

  1. nothing for the 2015 mid MacBook Pro 15 inch ?

  2. Just installed the final release on the 2013 MacBook Pro, having an issue with the boot. Every time boot, it looks stuck on the progress bar at the half and that will take almost 5-6 minutes there then boots up. Is anyone getting this issue?

  3. Is iMac late 2014 compatible Monterey? Thanks

  4. excellent reference – downloaded the table to pass along to my friends. also recommend that they subscribe to this channel for VERY GOOD advice. Thanks for all your work.

  5. I didn't see my iMac 9,1 on the list. Thanks to you I was able to upgrade to Big Sur successfully with the patch you suggested, I see in my software updates Monterey is available. Do I need to know anything special before upgrading?

  6. Well time time upgrade from 2015 beloved MacBook pro

  7. Low power mode works on intel 2020 air tho

  8. Thank you Mr. Macintosh.

  9. AirPlay to Mac works on my patched 2011 Mbp 🤷‍♂️

  10. how the hell the m1 macbook air does not support battery saver? great video, really appreciate it 😉

  11. Hi, Mr. Macintosh. I did notice in the feature list that M1 MBA not have Low Power Mode, but I have one and it works. I'm using this feature during all MacOS Monterey Beta updates and it works really good.

Btw, thanks for sharing this info! 😀

  12. Wow…we are getting all these os’s and now compatibility is an issue.. this is the issue year. First Windows 11 now this…everyone spending money on computers and there are compatibility issues….why can we just have an os that works simply on all… wait…sorry..then no one would make any money…never mind…

  13. Short & sweet. Very cool!

  14. Will Monterey install on an unsupported MAC that has a big sur running

  15. does it mean that an imac from 2013 will never have universal control?

  16. Great info, eclectic light site it's awesome,I got a MacBook Pro 2013 early and will give it a try to Monterrey,so can I use the same steps that you did with the unsupported Mac to upgrade Big Sur with the new release of open core legacy patch? Greetings.

  17. I love eclecticlight, great resource!

  18. i try install macOS MONTERY on my imac mid 2011 using the same steps of your video ( BigSur on unsupported mac ) but i failed with this error

    window: macOS Update Assistant

" a required firmware update could not be installed "

  19. I have an iMac 27 5k 2019 base model and I have live text

  20. That was very helpful, thanks so much for sharing. I did notice in his feature list that the 2017 iMac may not have the live text in Photos, but it worked on mine last night. 🙂

  21. Can i go back to Big Sur without any data back-up? The reason i updated to this version is the universal control feature, but it seems to take more time than i expected, and now some of the apps i used are no longer supported on Monterey

  22. Are their any bugs so far from big sur to monterey, like we had when they released big sur ?
