Using Windows Keyboards on macOS Big Sur [Setup]
If you don’t like the keyboard that came with your Mac, there’s a fair number of alternatives to choose from. But if you look at the number of keyboards for Windows PCs on the market right now, there’s no comparison. Specifying a keyboard with a Mac layout cuts down your options somewhat (even before you factor in the UK layout that many of our readers will need) and inevitably you end up with less choice. You may have to pay more for what you want, or miss out on niche products such as ergonomic designs for reducing RSI.
By pressing certain key combinations, you can do things that normally need a mouse, trackpad, or other input device.
To use a keyboard shortcut, press and hold one or more modifier keys and then press the last key of the shortcut. For example, to use Command-C (copy), press and hold the Command key, then the C key, then release both keys. Mac menus and keyboards often use symbols for certain keys, including modifier keys:

Any tips on how to get the number pad to work? When I try to use it in apps like MS Office (Excel) it outputs the following: 1="1" 2="2" 3="3". Any suggestions?
Im trying to get this to work with my windows keyboard on mac and the modifier keys aren't working. I have to plug into the mac through a usb hub because they removed all of the ports for god knows what reason. Any ideas on how to make the modifier keys work just like a PC layout? I hate the mac layout
